There was a time when the only small motorcycles now also known as pit bikes were from Japanese companies like Honda and Kawasaki. How did my 2 bicycles Thumpstar mine was on the punishment for a tough season ride? Well, I must say that they were simply great. The engine was a pleasant surprise deliver smooth power over all 4 sessions. The suspension is quite stiff though was still better than stock, so I was happy with it. The frames are durable, and a total of the bicycles were very reliable. The only problems that I can say I had were that the chain dug the arm in the back of my Thumpstars, some screws rattled off, I replaced the lever, and some plastic cosmetic damage. The motors run a little hot, so I am currently in the process, oil coolers for my Thumpstar pit bikes, I have seen a number of them for sale online.
If you are currently on the market for a pit bike, it is up to you. Would you pay $ 5500 for the best or would you prefer to pay about $ 1500 for a similar motorcycle? It was a no-brainer for me. I am sure that the shelf life for my Thumpstar pit bike is less than a Honda, but cares, I’ll just another in a few years and even less money is spent!
