There was a time when the only small motorcycles now also known as pit bikes were from Japanese companies like Honda and Kawasaki. In recent years these pit bikes, more and more popular, which is quite a demand for them. Now the Chinese manufacturers and others are stepping motors in the gap. So-called Knock Off-Thumpstar pit bikes as bicycles and Sikk pit bikes are built with Chinese engines and frames. The big question is, can these bicycles are available to the Old Faithful Honda and Kawasaki models?
Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki and the staple food, when it comes to dirt bikes for years, and rightly so. These motorcycles are very competent and reliable. In recent years a number of Chinese motorcycles have made the scene in the form of mini-bikes or bicycles pit. Why should people buy a motorcycle from China, if they can not be sure about the reliability? The reason is simple, they are much cheaper than their Japanese counterparts.
You can create a totally deceive Thumpstar pit bike for around $ 1500 brand. When it comes to the new CRF100, the capacities of BBR You are looking at around $ 5500. This is quite a difference in the price. There are many other brand names of so-called Knock Off pit bikes as Pittster, Sikk, Pro Thunder, and the list goes on and on. All of them are similarly priced and the quality is roughly the same, depending on you ask. I currently own tutor Thumpstar pit 2 bicycles, and I know some people have the other so-called Knock Off brands such as Sikk, I can speak personally about the quality of these motorcycles.
Are they as good as a Kawasaki or Honda? The simple answer is no. These wheels do not have a way to go to the quality and performance of the Japanese brands, if they are all about. There is only one problem. When buying a Honda 50 cc, it is bone stock. You have everything for an upgrade from suspension, exhaust, tune the engine and that is up to thousands of dollars. Well, I do not know about you, but I’m not spending $ 5500 in a small pit bike. This is the reason why bicycles, with Chinese parts such as mine Thumpstar bicycles have become so popular. They come bearing with a beautiful race exhaust, the suspension is better than Honda camp, some even now come standard with Japanese Mikuni carburetor. I personally believe that most of the Knock Off bikes look much nicer than the Honda or Kawasaki as well. Over the years has evolved from these motorcycles have become better and better.
Is it not impossible to find parts for pit bikes with Chinese parts? Amazingly not. There are many providers now supporting these motorcycles, and the Internet makes it easier to find for almost everything. There are many places to find aftermarket parts and upgrades for Thumpstar pit bikes and many others.
How did my 2 bicycles Thumpstar mine was on the punishment for a tough season ride? Well, I must say that they were simply great. The engine was a pleasant surprise deliver smooth power over all 4 sessions. The suspension is quite stiff though was still better than stock, so I was happy with it. The frames are durable, and a total of the bicycles were very reliable. The only problems that I can say I had were that the chain dug the arm in the back of my Thumpstars, some screws rattled off, I replaced the lever, and some plastic cosmetic damage. The motors run a little hot, so I am currently in the process, oil coolers for my Thumpstar pit bikes, I have seen a number of them for sale online.
If you are currently on the market for a pit bike, it is up to you. Would you pay $ 5500 for the best or would you prefer to pay about $ 1500 for a similar motorcycle? It was a no-brainer for me. I am sure that the shelf life for my Thumpstar pit bike is less than a Honda, but cares, I’ll just another in a few years and even less money is spent!
